John G. Lake was known as God's "Apostle to Africa" and was responsible for over 1,000,000 converts, raising 625 churches and 1,250 preachers in five years of ministry. Upon his return to America and establishing the Healing Rooms, no less than 100,000 astounding miracles of healing occurred in Spokane.

John G. Lake was one of sixteen children, and as he was growing up, he saw eight of his siblings die of one disease or another. This left a deep impression on him. It was perhaps as a result of this tragic family experience that throughout his life, John G. Lake hated sickness with a passion. This deep-rooted hatred of disease surely must have contributed to the development of the wonderful healing power that came upon his life.

At one point, his wife was seriously ill and nearly died. During that time he received a great revelation about God's power. He set his Bible down and it opened to "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (Acts 10:38 AV) In that moment, John G. Lake understood that Jesus is the Healer and satan the oppressor, and he became convinced that God's will was to heal all sick people everywhere. This vision led him to found the Healing Rooms in Spokane, WA. Almost, eighty years have passed and the healing wells in Spokane have been re-dug thru Cal Pierce. (Gen. 26:15-18)

With an impartation from Spokane, hungry servants with firsthand testimonies of the miraculous healing power of Jesus, established Healing Rooms from the Rockies in August of 2001.

Healing Rooms from the Rockies and its servants are submitted to the leadership of their local churches. We look for this leadership to give us spiritual support, to come alongside and in our unity, provide the strength and power to see the sick set free.
